Psychotherapy by Medical Order (Basic Insurance/Anordnungsmodell)

• Mandatory health insurance covers the costs of psychotherapy provided by psychologists since July 2022. This service requires a doctor's order (Anordnung). The basic insurance covers up to 15 sessions. An extension of the order is possible. The rates are calculated differently.
• Couples therapy is also covered by this model. At least one of the partners must bring a signed order. Ideally, each partner should bring their own.
• The medical order model is worthwhile if you have a low amount of self-coverage or your annual self-coverage has already been used up (Selbstbehalt).
• Without a signed order by your doctor, it is not possible for the costs to be covered by the basic insurance. Please don't forget to bring your health insurance card.
• I can send you the medical order form by email or give it to you after the first session.

Psychotherapy via Complementary Insurance (Zusatzversicherungen) or private

• You can pay for the sessions, of course, without any insurance coverage (private).
• Unfortunately, psychotherapy is currently no longer refunded by all complementary insurances, since I, as a psychotherapist, have joined the basic insurance model. The professional association FSP is clarifying this. Please enquire directly with your health insurance.
• Ask your health insurance directly how much is covered per session and calendar year. For complementary insurances, the normal rates apply.
